Isabel is an Artist and Curator based in London. She is a graduate of Modern and Contemporary Art: History, Curating and Criticism MSc from the University of Edinburgh (2019) and a Graduate Diploma in Fine Art at University of the Arts London (2022). Her work takes bioregionalism, an idea and a way of connecting
communities through the creation of awareness and knowledge of our
surroundings, as a starting point. For an example, she facilitates art
workshops where participants are invited to explore their individual and
collective experiences as residents of particular places. Often working with image
and text, she utilises mixed-media site-specific installations to question the
socio-political contexts that she lives and works in. She recently founded Create on the Estate (2021), a series of free art workshops for the children of Lambeth Estates and co-curated Traversing Borders (2021), a digital programme of participatory events, online content and a non-monetary auction. She was also recently selected for the Venice Biennale Fellowship Programme with the British Council and La Biennale di Venezia (2022) and won the UAL Creative Enterprise Awards (in partnership with NatWest) for Create on the Estate (2022).
